Questions
Are my photos uploaded?
No. They are read from your disk, merged in this browser tab and saved back to your disk. The page is not allowed to send them anywhere, and there is nothing on the server to receive them. Check it yourself with the browser’s own tools.
Which browsers and computers does it work on?
Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox, on Windows, Mac and Linux. Sharp is made for a computer: phones and tablets work too, with fewer or smaller photos.
How many photos can I use?
Up to 12 at a time, free. Sharp Pro for the web takes as many as your computer can — up to 1000 for Focus, Clean, Vanish, Trails and Pick, 32 for Blend and 100 for Pano. What really sets the limit is the browser: a page gets at most 4 GB of memory, and Focus and Vanish keep the frames on the computer’s disk while they work.
Which files can it open?
JPEG, PNG and WebP in every browser, and camera RAW files in every browser too — Canon CR2 and CR3, Nikon NEF, Sony ARW, Fujifilm RAF, Olympus ORF, Panasonic RW2, Pentax PEF, DNG including iPhone ProRAW, and most others. HEIC photos open only in Safari: other browsers have no HEIC decoder of their own, and the ones that could be added come with patent licences. On an iPhone, Settings › Camera › Formats › Most Compatible shoots JPEG.
Is the free version a trial?
No. It has no time limit and no watermark, and its results are full resolution. Every tool is in it, RAW files included.
What does Sharp Pro add?
As many frames as your computer can take, the retouch brush (paint the right frame back in where the merge guessed wrong), 16-bit TIFF and PNG, the maps, every frame lined up, batches, and every run kept as a project. It is US$15, once, for up to five browsers. About Pro.
I lost my licence key
The transaction ID on Paddle’s receipt (it starts with txn_) brings it back: enter it under “Lost your key?” on the Pro page. Or write to support@pablin.me.
I’m out of browsers for my licence
A licence works in up to five browsers at once. In a browser you no longer use, choose “Remove from this browser” under the photos, and its place is free again. If that browser is gone, write to support@pablin.me.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, within 30 days of buying. See Refunds.
Is it the Sharp app for iPhone?
It is the same engine, rewritten for the browser. They are bought separately: Sharp Pro for the web doesn’t unlock the app, nor the other way round.
Does it use AI?
No. Nothing is generated or repainted: every pixel of a result comes from one of your frames — lined up, weighed and averaged, but never made up.
“The page was reloaded while working”
The browser closed the tab, almost always because it ran out of memory. Close other tabs, use a computer rather than a phone, or try fewer or smaller photos.
Where are my projects kept?
In this browser, on this computer — not on any server. Clearing this site’s data in the browser deletes them, and they don’t follow you to another browser. Download the results you want to keep.
Does it work offline?
Yes. After the first visit everything it needs is on your computer: it works in flight mode.
